Janitorial Services
SUMMARY
Effectively develop and maintain a stable customer base for Janitorial services. Successfully close sales deals for new janitorial services, as well as for renewal of current service contracts This is a salary-exempt position that offers a base salary ($36000 per year) plus commission opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare job bids in accordance with Branch marketing strategy and goals. Establish and track customer leads and maintain ongoing customer and potential customer relationships.
- Develop a list of prospective customers through, but not limited to: studying business and telephone directories,consulting business associates, observing business establishments while driving through the sales territory.
- Participate in building walkthroughs for completion of bids and necessary reports.
- Write orders, schedules, contracts, etc. for initiation of services.
- Complete all necessary paperwork for new contracts, commission requests, etc. in accordance with company policy and timelines.
- Obtain purchase order, signed contract, letter of intent or an email stating the same within 2 weeks of the start up of any new job.
- Coordinate with necessary departments (human resources, accounting, operations) during start ups for new accounts and assist as necessary to ensure smooth transition between sales and operations.
- Effectively communicate with clients when there are past due amounts and potentially collect payments on accounts.
- Other activities may include entertaining prospects which may or may not be within normal business hours, so the ability to work evenings and through lunches is necessary.
- Maintain necessary organization memberships that would be beneficial to obtaining sales leads and networking opportunities.
- Special projects as requested by the Sales Manager.
