Job Description
The Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist (PSS) will
1) ensure that sales forecasts are met (or exceeded) within budget for the therapeutic areas at a territory level
2) work with the District Sales Manager (DSM) and Regional Account Director to ensure pull through of managed care strategies with customers within the therapeutic areas and territory
3) work with DSM to assess territory sales performance and market trends and suggest and implement appropriate actions to enhance performance
4) work with field marketing operations and Medical Information Scientists to develop customized programs/materials for the therapeutic areas and territory and
5) work with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists, as appropriate, to coordinate selling efforts.
Who we are looking for
Qualified candidates will be required to have
1) at least a Bachelors Degree, preferably with a health science or marketing/business major
2) at least 2 years current, outside, business-to-business sales experience, preferably within the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, medical or healthcare industry
3) a valid drivers license and a safe driving record
4) good presentation and communication skills
5) the ability to establish and present professional education programs with a focus on customer needs
6) be results oriented with demonstrated time/territory management
7) the ability to identify, prioritize and target key customers and
8) the ability to work as a team member.
